Creating a Vibrant Tension

Charles Vesley | Head of Design: The visual narrative of Casa Peña is anchored by a sophisticated, warm color palette that feels grounded yet electric. The terracotta picket-tile feature wall brings this intense geometric energy that is counterbalanced by this warm lush mustard-velvet tufted sofa, which adds a layer of tactile glamour.

Devin Dang | Head of Hospitality: And those punchy, unexpected notes… like the jewel-toned green fringe drum lights and dark charcoal fireplace introduce this really powerful juxtaposition that creates a dynamic rhythm that keeps the eye moving.

CV: The space feels curated over time, not styled in a day. The dramatic, vintage matador paintings act as powerful anchors on the walls, injecting some narrative and immediate drama into the space. And the sculptural floor lighting and patterned throw pillows transforms a simple residential layout into an immersive, highly photogenic boutique sanctuary.

DD: The crown jewel of the room for me is undeniably the handcrafted dining set… it’s such a statement and anchors the space in this rich, old-world hacienda soul. The high-back chairs immediately capture the eye with this intricate hand carved basketweave pattern. And the sculpted legs have this feathered, acanthus-like motif that is a nod to classic Mexican craftsmanship. You immediately feel transported.
